Its entirely possible to take the trains here from Tokyo. No need to rent a car.

To do:

• Take a day trip and visit Nikko's Shrines and Temples. It is a world heritage site and incredibly beautiful tucked away in the Japanese forests.

  • The proverb "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" originates from here.

• If time permits, I would also recommend spending the night in a ryokan.
